The ‘Howzit’ project consisted of sitting hammocks/swings made by Jair Straschnow and Gitte Nygaard, installed in the park where the Drop in Centre for Street Children is situated. The ‘Howzit’ can be used for sitting in or swinging. They were hung in the trees and can be used by either the street children or the general public that makes use of the park.

The term Howzit is the local short version of 'how is it?', but also a combination of the English word ‘how’ and the Dutch word ‘zit’, which means to sit. The main emphasis of course was based on Jair and Gitte wanting to create a more conducive environment for those who make use of the park and are not really catered for.
